Cedar House is situated on 10 acres of wooded land just 5 minutes drive south of Golden, BC and 20 minutes drive from Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. The restaurant, a former residence, has been fully renovated and features a warm and inviting décor accented with wood trim and heavy timbers. The open concept kitchen is unique to the area. It is fun to watch the chef in action from the 10-foot fir bar. Food is prepared using only the freshest ingredients by our highly skilled chef and the menu is sure to please all tastes. In the summer months, we welcome you to stroll our gardens and new pathways, enjoying a glass of wine while your meal is prepared. Our patio deck has full sun exposure with spectacular western views and no sign of traffic, buildings or roads. To exceed your expectations, we offer a mountain shuttle service to and from Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. Enjoy your après ski at the resort and let us drive you back to the Cedar House. Three private chalets, each uniquely different will accommodate 1-10 guests and feature comfy beds, en-suite bath, woodstove, kitchen, deck and hot tub. In total we can accommodate groups of up to 20 people at a time. It is perhaps the most unique building in Golden with a storied past. Dine surrounded by the restaurant's wonderful burled log structure and experience the warm atmosphere that only an authentic log building can provide. The two owners of the Kicking Horse Grill, Chris and Martijn, hail from Holland and came to Golden at the start of the new millennium. Both European, we have traveled abroad and have brought back with us a sample of our travel experiences in the food we create.
